Tips for a Fast Start
Welcome! As a new member in CAREINGTON's best dental plan in Florida (Plan 501), your membership packet will be mailed shortly. Remember, you do not need to wait for the mail to start using your new Dental Plan immediately.
Moments after you Join online, you are sent a Temporary Dental Plan ID e-mail. Print this e-mail ID and take it on your first dentist visit. There is a temporary "New Member Verification" telephone number on the Temporary e-mail ID. The dentist's office may call to verify your membership.
Note: your Temporary Dental Plan ID e-mail will state CAREINGTON Dental Plan "500 Series." Don't be confused. The "500 Series" of plans vary by state - 501, 502, 503, etc. - based on cost-of-living and other regional factors. In Florida, your dental plan is "Plan 501."
Fast Start Tip 1: When making your first appointment tell the dentist office that you are a new CAREINGTON Dental Plan member and verify the dentist office is a current CAREINGTON Dental Plan provider. (For example, ask "Do you continue to accept the CAREINGTON Dental Plan 501?")
Fast Start Tip 2: Print a copy of the Dental Plan "Schedule of Discounts" Plan 501 and take it with you on your first dentist visit. Be sure you are billed properly, as this is CAREINGTON's best in Florida.
Also, remember to bring a copy of your temporary e-mail plan ID.
What Happens Next: In 2 to 4 business days, you will be in the main CAREINGTON Member Service computer system. Your printed dental plan membership material should arrive by mail in about 7 days.
Vision & Prescription Plans: You may start using the Vision Plan (included) and Prescription Plan (optional) once your dental plan ID Cards arrive via mail.
Remember, you do not have to wait for the mail to use your dental plan immediately.
